Some­thing inter­est­ing hap­pens when you know how a story will begin and end before you start read­ing it. I’ve fin­ished the novel, and it was as delight­ful as I hoped it would be.  But the hour late, and I’ve stayed too long  in this chair as it is. More tomorrow.
