I am so sorry to hear this news. Mother Night is one of my all-time favorite books.

like his books, ideas, and words live on. Vonnegut was on the Daily Show about a month or 2 ago and I was thrilled to see him still trading barbs with an obviously impressed Jon Stewart. I remember my first reading of Vonnegut and how confused I was until I “got” it. He was one of the few adult authors I always made time to read.
