A probe into alle­ga­tions that a Jim Ned teacher/coach placed an inap­pro­pri­ate book in the hands of a ninth-grader could result in mis­de­meanor charges being filed against the 24-year-old educator.

The deci­sion on whether to pur­sue charges against Kaleb Tierce will be left up to the Tay­lor County Dis­trict Attorney’s Office.

On Tues­day, a day after Jim Ned’s school board refused to rein­state the sus­pended Tierce, Tay­lor County Sheriff’s Office Detec­tive Craig Griffis con­firmed the case will be turned over and that the dis­trict attor­ney will decide whether to pur­sue the case further.
