I learned to read from Dick and Jane; I learned to love sto­ries from comic books. I started read­ing and col­lect­ing them in the mid-70’s, so it’s no sur­prise that one of my writ­ing dreams is to do a comic. That dream is very close to becom­ing a real­ity, one that I can’t tell you a sin­gle thing about…until later. Stay tuned!

The third book in the Durango series is title Shadow on the Sun. It will be pub­lished in March 2013 (there is a cover of it on Goodreads, but since it’s not the final cover, I’m not going to post it here).I’ve turned it into my edi­tor, and edits are being done. It will prob­a­bly come out in Arc (advanced reader copy) this Fall. I hope to have copies of ARCs for my Fall events, espe­cially ALAN/NCTE in Novem­ber  Shadow on the Sun will be the last book in the story of Durango and Vienne, which is to say that there may be more Mars books in the future, but not with this par­tic­u­lar set of char­ac­ters. I’d be lying if I said I won’t be miss­ing them.
