I’ve posted a few short stories here. Some of them have been published. Some of them haven’t, and when you read them, you’ll know why. I thought I would share them anyway because there’s nothing sadder than a story wanting to be read.
I began my career writing short stories. I love the form, the economy of language, and the chance to visit a character during the most important moment of his life. Since I started writing novels, I haven’t written as many stories. I hope to get back to them some day soon.
It goes without saying that if I were to write these stories now, they would be different. Hopefully, they would be better, technically, but they would lose the qualities that the writer-I-was gave them.
