A follow-up on the Poll I posted earlier:
I’ve taken the advice y’all were kind enough to give, with a twist. A kind soul suggested an exercise for deconstructing the plot structure, a long and sometimes tedious process that was enlightening, to say the least. I’ve done a thorough pass based on that, and now I’ll set aside the manuscript for a few days. After a final proofread, I’ll pass it on to first readers.
Writing this novel has been a pleasure from the start. I’ve emersed myself in the project and have found joy in the process. You know what that means, don’t you?
The novel probably sucks.
